Welty - Enjoys long walks on the beach. Being a sophomore at the University of Texas at San Antonio, he is always strapped for disposable income. He will always look for the best for your dollar. Avid health enthusiast, he will always be sighted eating healthy foods such as celery, lettuce, tomatoes and any other vegetable you can think of! When he eats, he will always eat for two. Consuming calories while staying in a budget is something that he will always be weary of. He will eat a wide variety of foods, and if you dare him to eat something he will! Welty once ate fourteen jalapenos in a contest for no prize! Look for his blog posts to be on-campus dining specific.
Doris- Moved to the states from Germany when she was 5. Lived in North Carolina for 9 years then moved to San Antonio. She's a junior at the University of Texas at San Antonio and majoring in veterinary medicine. She is not picky when it comes to food and loves to try different varieties and cultures of dishes. She especially likes discovering small "mom and pop" places to find the potential in a restaurant that people need to discover. Brennan- As a sophomore studying Communications at UTSA, Brennan has lived in San Antonio his whole life. As a result, he knows the city better than pretty much anybody! His job acting in various local films and stage plays has given him a lot of insight on the many great restaurants in town. If you're looking for a good place to eat for your downtown dinner date, or for a weekend city adventure, he's got you covered!
David- Spent 7 years growing up in Scotland, he acquired a taste for many unique different kinds of culture. Having moved to Houston, Texas after this chapter of his life, he began to have a massive culture shock that allowed him to truly appreciate the amount of cultural knowledge he was allowed to experience. All of that said, being able to afford imported items or to be able to go to upscale, exotic restaurants is out of the question on the budget of a humble college student...so instead he strives to find wild food options that are acceptable to the everyday student.
Chris – 23 year old Junior (progress wise) at UTSA working hard to try and achieve his eventual goal of becoming a rapper. He enjoys anything having to do with Music, Sports, Women, and Food! He’s been here at UTSA for a while so he knows most of the great food venues that San Antonio has to offer. He’s not a food critique or anything but he knows a good burger or enchilada plate when he tastes one.
